Then the praśastis are given on pp. 164 f, possibly based on two Mss. One of them is said to be copied in Samvat 1640, but none of the five Mss. gives this date. it is not clear whether this is an additional Ms. The extracts aie pot carefully presented. Then a Ms. called Ratnakaranda-śrāvakācāra is reported in the Bhattārakiya Sāstra-bhañdāra, Nagaur (See Anekanta, V., pp. 399. In the Jaina Grantha-prasasti -sagraha, part II (Delhi 1963), Pt. PARMANANDA gives some extracts (pp. 7-9) from the two works of Sricandra. It is not stated from what Mss. these are copied. The title of the second work is given Rayaņakaramda-sävayāra (Ratnakaranda-Śrāvakācāra), but it is not found in the extracts given. The passages are very indifferently printed ; and they differ in crucial
readings from the extracts given by the Amera Granthasūci, noted above. 5. It is interesting to note that some of the names are Prākritic. 6. JAYANTAVIJAYAJI : Holy Abu (Translated into English by Dr U.
P. SHAH) Bhavnagar 1953, pp. 227., 42, 81. 7. If Sricandra is self-consitent, he states first how certain king or
kings honoured some Teacher and then gives the name of the latter, in that case Śrutakirti was honoured by Gāñgeya (as in the prasasti of Dkrk) and Sahasrakirti was respected by both Gängeya and Bhoja
(as stated in the prasasti of Kk, 8. The readings in both the sources are so badly presented that one
should treat these dames as tentative. Dr. HIRALALAJI reads
Surendra for Subhacandra. 9. The History and Culture of Iudian People, Vol. V. (Bombay
