स्तावकसास्ने ॥ १।२ । १८ ॥ p. 99In these words, the initial vowel is necessarily changed to उ-स्तावकः-थुवओ ('स्तः' p. 38 ) । साना-सुण्हा (नष्णस्नत्स्न हलक्ष्णां बहः' p. 43 )। स्त्रीभगिनी--- ॥१।३ । ९७ ॥ p. 102स्त्री, भगिनी, दुहितृ, and वनिता substitute respectively the forms इत्थी, बहिणी, धूआ, and विलआस्त्री-इत्थी-थी। भगिनी-बहिणी-भइणी । दुहिता-धूआ-दुहिआ। वनिता-विलआ-वणिआ । The forms of f and #are similar and given at the end. ऋद्विशब्दे ऋत्वादिपाठात्-p. 102. ऋद्धि is given under कृपादि's, not under ऋत्वादि's. The author includes it into both the classes and thus gives four forms as under:-- ऋद्धिः-उड्ढी-उद्धी-इड्ढी-इद्धी. The forms of oth and vią are given at the end. सोवण्णेई-सोवण्णेआ-p. 105In this word the affix ङीपू is caused by ढ-सौपर्णेयी-सोवण्णेईसोवण्णेआ. वालाब्वरण्ये ॥१।२।४ ॥ p. 108In these words, the initial vowel is dropped optionallyअलाबु: Oअलाबू:--लाबू--अलाबू; अरण्यम्-रणं-अरणं. इदुन्मातुः ॥ १। २ । ८३ ॥ p. 108Trivikrama's Vritti on this Sutra is as under:'गौणस्य मातृशब्दस्य ऋत इदुतौ भवतः । माइघरं । माउघरं । कचिदगौणस्यापि । माईण-माऊण-मातृणाम् ॥' Hemachandra's remark is as follows:-- 'कचिदगौणस्यापि । माईणं ।' Lakshmidhara says that though in the Satra. इदुन्मातुः, गौणस्य is supplied from the preceding Sûtra, and though the clhange of मातृ into माइ and माउ would thus occur only when the word is subordinate in sense as in hai where the sense of qi is predominant and hit subordinate, still
