The opening verse is as under:श्रीहयग्रीवाय नमश्चन्द्रिकाकान्तकान्तये ।
उपासकजनाज्ञानतमिस्रा सप्तसप्तये ॥

दिट्ठमहोख्खजेण समिअंसेअंबु एकत्थले
हवदु दे इत्थिदाणुमुहं
गंडजुग्गमज्जाए कृतस्मराजिरभसान्निश्वास
शमितस्वेदाम्बु एकस्थले
किम्भीर
रहुणाहो मह मणे णिचं

* V. is a Ms. of the Shadbhâshâchandrika collated for me by my friend, Mr. S. P. V. Ranganathaswâmf of Vizagpatam. It is a palm-leaf Ms. of 14 leaves (28 pages). It has 9 lines on each side or page. It is written in Telugu characters. The size of the Ms. is 142" × 12". It is noticed by Dr. Oppert in his "Lists cf Sanskrit Mss. in the Private Libraries of Southern India. ” There it is numbered 8308. It begins thus : - श्रीहयग्रीवाय नमः | शुभमस्तु | विस्सद्धम् &c, and ends with क्षुण्णस्थगितवक्षसदृक्षे | The readings were secured after the text was printed off and are therefore noticed in this Appendix. My best thanks are due to my friend, Mr. S. P. V. Ranganathaswami, for the trouble taken by him on my account.
