પોતાના પર અપરાધ કરનાર પર પણ કૃપા દૃષ્ટિથી જેનાર સૌમ્ય પ્રકૃતિવાન ભગવાનની આંખ (દયાર્દતાથી ભીની થતાં)માં આંસુ આવ્યાં (અરે આ સંગમદેવની શી ગતિ થશે ?)
एक: पुजा रचयति नर : पारिजात प्रसूनै:। क्रुद्धः कण्ठे क्षिपति भुजंग हन्तुकामस्ततोऽन्य :। तुल्या वृत्तिर्भवति च तयोर्यस्य नित्यं स योगी। साभ्यारामं विशति परमज्ञानदत्तावकाशम्॥
– જ્ઞાનાર્ણવ પાન-ર૩૯/અધ્યાત્મ તરંગિણી પાન-૧૯ એક ભાઈ. પારિજાત પુષ્પોથી મુનિની પૂજા કરે છે જ્યારે બીજે ક્રોધપૂર્વક તેમને મારી નાખવાની બુદ્ધિપૂર્વક ગળામાં સાપ પહેરાવે છે. બંને તરફ સમભાવથી જોનાર મુનિ સામ્યભાવપૂર્વક આનંદજ અનુભવે છે.
ओत्वारवषोऽहिगरुडा : पुनरेणसिंहा अन्येऽडिगनोऽपि च मिथो जनिवैरबन्धाः ।। तिष्ठन्ति ते समवसत्यविरोधनं त्वां
gવા મથે મવતિ નો અવાશિતનામુI ૩૪ હે પ્રભુ! સમવસરણમાં બિરાજમાન સૌમ્ય-દષ્ટિવાળા આપને જોઈને બિલાડીઓ ઉદરની વચ્ચે, સર્પ ગરૂડોની વચ્ચે, હરણો સિંહોની વચ્ચે તેમજ જન્મથી જ એકબીજા પ્રત્યે વૈરભાવ રાખવા વાળા અન્ય પ્રાણિઓ પણ અરસપરસ પ્રેમપૂર્વક રહે છે. આપનો આશ્રય જેણે લીધો છે તેને કોઈ પ્રકારનો ભય ઉપજતો નથી.
જે માણિક રત્નો સ્ત્રીના ગળામાં હારરૂપે આશ્રય કરતાં અને જે આરસના પત્થરો શ્રીમંતોના મહેલમાં બેસાડવામાં આવતાં જેના તેના અભિમાનની પુષ્ટિ કરવાનું નિમિત્ત બને છે તેજ માણિક રત્નો અને આરસના પત્થરો માનસ્તંભમાં બેસાડતાં જોનારના અભિમાનને ગાળી નાખવાનું નિમિત્ત બને છે તે હે પ્રભુ! આપની નિષ્કારણ કરૂણા તેમજ સૌમ્ય મુખદર્શનનો જ પ્રભાવ છે.
"Calmness of mind is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom. It is the result of long and patient eslort in self control. It's presence is an indication of ripened experience and more than an ordinary knowledge of laws and operation of thought. A man becomes calm and poised in the measure that he understands himself as a thought evolved being, for such knowledge necessiates the understanding of the others as the result of thought, and as he developes a right understanding and sees more and more clearly the internal relation of things by the action of cause and ellect, he ceases to fuss and fume and worry and grieve and remains poised, steadlast and serene. The calm man having learnt how to govern himsell, knows how to adopt himself to others; and they in turn, revere his spiritual strength and feel that they can learn of him and rely on him. The more tranquil a man becomes, the greater is his success. his influence, his power for good. Even the ordinary trader will find his business prosperity increased. as he developes a greater self-control and equaniinity, for people will always prefer to deal with a man whose demeanour is strongly equable. The strong calm man is always loved
