कल्पद्रुः पादपानां हरिरमृतभुजां चक्रवर्ती नराणाम्।
धर्माणामन्यजन्तूपकृतिरपि तथा राजते धुत्तमत्वे॥ વૃક્ષોમાં કલ્પવૃક્ષ, દેવોમાં ઈન્દ્ર, મનુષ્યોમાં ચક્રવર્તી જેમ ઉત્તમપણે શોભે છે તેમ સમગ્ર ગુણોમાં પરોપકાર ધર્મ પણ ખરેખર ઉત્તમપણે શોભે છે.
પરોપકાર વૃત્તિનો એક હૃદયંગમ દ્રષ્ટાંત – John Ruskin inherited a million dollors. With this money he set out doing good "says a writer in the 'Arena' Charitable Trust." By 1877 he off 3/4th of his inherited wealth with all the income including that from his books. But the calls of the poor and his plans (looking towards educating and enabling working men to live reasonbly good life and giving more sunshine and joy to every possible human life) were such that he decided to dispose off all his wealth except a small sun suslicient to yield him 1500/= (dollars) a year on which to live.

I donot believe that I have any property, nevertheless, anything which by social convention or law is considered mine, anything moveable or immoveable, books, articles etc. that I have written and may write hereafter, whether printed or not printed and all their copyright, I endow as my heirs the Navjivan Institution, whom I hereby declare as my heirs and Declaration of trust for the establishinent of which I alongwith Mohanlal Maganlal Bhatia got registered as a deed of trust on 26-11-1929. and of which shri Vallabhbhai Jhaverbhai Patel, Shri Narhari Dwarkadas Parikh are at present trustees. The Navjivan Trust will give to the Harijan Sevak Sangh for harijan service every year after my dernise twenty five percent (25%) of the net profit that it earns out of the sale of the exercise of their copy right. In order to exercise my desire as expressed by this Will and to make the necessary arrangement for it, I appoint Bhai Maliadev Haribhai Desai and Narhari Dwarkadas Parikh as executors of my this will. In the absence of any one of them, by death or any other cause, the other has got the right to make necesary arrangements and to execute this my Will. Sd / Pyarelal Nayar
