101 मत्तेल्लउ चित्त-गइंदउ धावइ । णिरंतर गअणुद्देसहिँ घोलइ ॥ २ पाव-पुण्ण बिहु तोडिअ सिंखल । मोडिअ खंभत्थाणउँ । गअण-टंकुलहिँ लग्गु रे चित्तु पइट्ट णिव्वाणउँ ॥ ३ महारस-पाणहिँ मत्तउ रे तिहुवणु सअलु उवेक्खिउ । पंच-विसयहुँ णायकु रे विपक्खउ कोवि ण देखिउ ॥ ४ खर-रवि-किरण-संतावें रे गअण-गंग पइट्ठउ । भणइ महिहरु मइँ एत्थु बुड्ढेते किंपि ण दिट्ठउँ ।। ५
[संस्कृत छाया] त्रिभिः पट्टैः लग्नः रे अनाहतः कृष्णः घनः गर्जति । तद् श्रुत्वा मार: भयंकरः रे सह मंडल-सकलैः नश्यति ॥ १ मत्तः चित्त-गजेंद्रः धावति निरंतरं गगनोद्देशे घूर्णति ॥ २ पाप-पुण्ये द्वे अपि भक्त्वा शंखले मोटयित्वा स्तंभ-स्थानं । गगन-टंककेन लग्नं रे चित्तं विष्टं निर्वाणम् ॥ ३ महारस-पानेन मत्तः रे त्रिभुवनं सकलं उपेक्षितं । पंच-विषयानां नायकः रे विपक्षः कोपि न दृष्टः ॥ ४ खर-रवि-किरण-संतापेन रे गगन-गंगां प्रविष्टः । भणति महीधरः मया अत्र निमज्जता किमपि न दृष्टम् ॥ ५

Bound with three bands the dark clould of the Anāhata thunders; hearing it the terrifying Māra with his whole troup is put to flight. 1. The elephant of the mind runs about intoxicated. It constantly wanders in the direction of the sky. 2. Breaking the two chains of sin and virtue, shattering the pillar with the chisel of the sky the mind enters Nirvāņa. 3. Intoxicated with the drinking of Mahā-rasa it has become indifferent to all the three worlds. Lord of the five sense-objects, he sees no antagonist whatsoever. 4. Due to the heat of the scorching rays of the sun it has entered the heavenly Gangā. Mahidhara says : Immersed here, nothing was seen by me. 5.
