________________ Story telling by night and the power of the Mantra: ch Jain monks eat their evening meal before sunset. After sunset, the monks and others would gather around Gurudev and listen to his anecdotes. Amar also went and sat at his feet and asked Gurudev to tell him a story. He was, after all, only 11 years old. Gurudev told him the story of of Atimukt and Gajsukumal Muni. Amar was not satisfied... he wanted more. So Gurudev decided to tell him anecdotes about his own Guru, Shri Kashiram Ji Maharaj, who by now had left this world. परत्न जैन भूषण शान्त मुद्रा श्री श्री श्री शुक्लचन्द्र जा Gurudev Shri Shukal Chand Ji Maharaj Listening to stories about him, Amar was filled with a sense of awe. With round eyes, full of wonder and a child like desire to meet such a great saint, he asked Gurudev: Is it possible for me to see him? Gurudev was touched by Amar's earnestness and replied: Alright I will give you a mantra... repeat it before you go to sleep tonight. So before sleeping, with full faith and concentration, Amar chanted the mantra as Gurudev had directed. While chanting he drifted off into sleep. In his dream that night he saw a fair, well built monk, with long arms, a noble brow and a radiant countenance. He was clad in pure white robes and in his smile, Amar felt an all encompassing love reach out and engulf him. He woke up.
