**"I thankfully beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter and a rough copy of your pamphlet on Shi
kharji affair, which we have carefully read. We are · actually delighted to know your sincere wishes for the
welfare of the Jain community. If the matter come to a mutual settlement, the community will no doubt be saved of the heavy loss of money and unbearable burden of anxiety. Your attempts this way are for the public good and we pray for and will congratulate you on your achieving success in the sacred undertaking &c, &c."
(૨) દિગમ્બર સમાજના માનનીય નેતા બ્રહ્મચારી શીતલપ્રસાદજી જેઓ શાસ્ત્રરસિક ચુસ્ત દિગમ્બર છે અને જેઓને પત્ર આજ સુધી ઈરાદાપૂર્વક હું છૂપાવ્યો હતો, તેઓ વડોદરેથી લખે છે કે –
"मैं अंतरंगले परस्पर मेल चाहता हूँ और ऐसे मुकदमेांको कौमकी बरबादी समझताहूं तथा जो कोई न्याययुक्त प्रयत्न ले उसमें योग देनेको भी तत्पर हं. यदि काम पडे, और श्वेताम्बरोंको ठीक रास्ते पर भाप ले आवे तो दिगम्बर शेठोके पास बात करनेको आपके साथ-यदि फुरसत हुइ तो-जानेमें मुझे कुछ उजर न होगा. सदाके लिये ये झगडे मिटें ऐसी ही मेरी भावना है."
(૩) સુશિક્ષિત દિગમ્બર ગૃહસ્થ સેલાપુરનિવાસી શ્રીયુત હીરાચંદ અમીચંદ શાહ લખે છેઃ
“I have gone through your 'Appeal' and I quite sympathise with the movement. I am prepared to give my signature on the Appeal'. I feel no doubt as to the usefulness of the movement, which, to express in your own words will make our voico more powerful and will help in bringing litigation to a speedy end.' ...... Very glad to learn your zeal and diligence manifested in your going to x x for this holy cause and the final success you there achieved, I note with pleasure your intention of coming down here to see other influential gentlemen and to try to persuade them to accept your proposal. Such a process is, in my opinion, quite necessary and it will do much in facilitating your purpose. I wish you every success."
