(૩) ‘જૈનગઝેટ'માં તે પત્રના વિદ્વાન અધિપતિ કે જેઓ એક કુશળ ધારાશાસ્ત્રી છે તેઓ લખે છે કેઃ

"The Shikhar Sammed Suit which was instituted by Babu Maharaj Bahadur Singh,& Swetambar gentleman against some members of the Digambar sect, in November 1912, has been decided after full four years. Both parties have spent several lacs of rupees in the litigation alone, and the result is that the Court has declared that the Digambaries have no concern with the Jal-mandir, the central temple situated in the valley. Presumably, (the judgment has not yet been published), the learned Subordinate Judge has held that, the evidence of Digambar millionaires and Pandits who swore having offered worship to the Digambar images in the 2 side rooms of the temple, was not reliable. This is not the only ugly feature of the case. The Court has also held, it appears, against the sworn testimony of Swetambar milionaires and Sadhus that the Digambars have worshipped at 20 cupolas according to their own mode of worship as a matter of right. The worst feature of the decision therefore is that both the parties would be dissatisfied with it and cross-appeals to the High Court, and further appeals to the Privy Council will follow, adding to the expense and bitterness of feeling. Even now the parties would be welladvised in having a mutual, direct, face to face conference, without prejudice to their legal rights in Court, with a view to an amicable
