Taking ahimsa and other virtues into & consideration it offers two important sutras as an hidden opportunity in recession time.
Give people more space to grow of Not speed but rhythm
Not greed but sustainability
to Give people more space to grow. An organisation has many kinds of people. Some like tortoise are slow and steady. Some are like rabbits (sharp witted). Some others are like horses and bird (action-oriented) Each one performs best in his or her own space. What is required is not to ask tortoise to fly or the the birds to run. That would spell disaster for the economy on the whole. Each one should be invited to contribute his own time but in a collaborative effort.
Curbing people in their mental space involves bhara himsa. The anekantic view teaches us to respect the views of different person.
