It gives me great pleasure to hear that Jain Samaj Europe is celebrating the completion of 10 years since the Pratistha Mahotsav which took place in July 1988 when the most holy images were installed in the Jain temple.
During these 10 years the Jain community in the United Kingdom has benefited a lot from the Jain temple.
It is very hard to build a temple but it is even harder to maintain it and ensure continual benefit to the community. Your past and present committee have worked very hard to achieve this.

I was fortunate to take an active part in the Pratishtha Ceremony ten years ago in July 1988. During this ten years the Jain Centre has made its name in the City of Leicester and it is a tourist attraction as well. Jain Centre has also contributed in spreading the ideals of nonviolence and peace.
