Dear Sharadbhai,
I have received your fax dt. 24th April, 1998 and I am glad to know that in order to co-memorate the auspicious occasion of Pratistha Mahotsav of Jain Temple at Leicester you have planned to hold a grand 3 days festival from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July, 1998 and also to produce a 10th year special colourful Souvenir issue of the Jains. I was fortunate to be present during the Pratistha Mahotsav and I have visited the Jain Centre on 3/4 occasions thereafter.
I have seen that the Jain Centre has become a place of pilgrimage for Jains. It is the only such place of pilgrimage in the whole of Europe. The Jain Centre has served its purpose of promoting non-violence and teaching Jain way of life very successfully during the last 10 years.
I convey my heartiest congratulations and felicitations to all who were concerned with the formation of such a beautiful Jain Centre in U.K.
On the auspicious occasion of the 10th Anniversary of this first Jain Centre in Europe I convey my heartiest congratulations and good wishes for its progress and prosperity. It will remain as a holy place of pilgrimage for jains throughout the world for the coming years and will help in propagating and promoting the principles of Jainism in the 21st Century.
In the year 2001 that is in the beginning of the next millennium there is 2600th Birth Anniversary of Bhagawan Mahavir which should be celebrated by all the Jains in the world in a big way. There are two other important occasions in the year 2001 which are as follows:

2600th Birth Anniversary of Bhagavan Mahavir. 100th Death Anniversary of Shrimad Rajchandra. 100th Death Anniversary of Shri Virchand Raghavji Gandhi.
I wish that all these 3 occasions be celebrated by the Jains throughout the worlds in a united and big way and Jain Samaj Europe will not leg behind in this. I wish all the functions in connections with the 10th Anniversary celebrations a grand success.
I would have very much liked to be present at the time of celebrations but on account of my ill-health 1 am unable to do so for which please excuse me.
May God give Jain Samaj Europe and you all Beauty, Grace, Joy and Enlightenment.
