"Sanskrit Bhasha Pradeep." I have gone cursorily over it, and am very glad to find that in the said work, all the various parts of grammar are treated in their proper order, that the various processes through which words have to pass are clearly explained and that rules relating to them are framed on the basis of Panini in a concise yet exhaustive manner and given in a systematic order. I believe, every possible care has been taken in the preparation of the work and I am sure it will be usful not only to Gujarati stu
dents of the Sanskrit language, but also to School and : College students. It reflects very hard labour on your part, and I congratulate you on the production.

I beg to apologize for the delay in replying to your letter. The pressure of private and public duties hardly left me sufficient time to enable me to go through your book during the expected period.
I may inform you that soon after the receipt of your book, I had an interview with Prof. Anandshanker Dhruva in which we had some discussion with regard to the merits of your grammar. I presume, he will let you know what he has thought of the book.
I have however perused with great pleasure the pages of your valuable grammar, and have no hesitation in saying that it is a very useful contribution to our bi-lingual literature. It comprises in a systematic form all the rules in an intelligible language, and I think, that if students of our Sanskrit Shalas study the book with care and patience, they will be able to penetrate more quickly into the scientific spirit of Sanskrit Grammar than their old method, which, though admirable in its own way, heavily taxes their memory.
