PREFACE.
This book, which forms the "23rd volume" of our series, is known as "Chaturvimshati Jinânanda Stuti," and Contains hymns in praise of Jain Tirthankarâs. It was written by "Purandara Shri Meruvijaya Muni," supposed to have flourished the 2nd half of the 17th century of the Vikrama Era, i. e. the 1st half of the 17th century A. D. The date of the work itself is unknown. The work also contains a commentary by the same author.
It has come to our knowledge that the following two works also are written by Shri Meruvijaya Muni. 1. Vidnapti Patri (in Sanskrit) 2. Shripal Râsa (A Gujrâti poem)
Our thanks are due to the President of the Nadiad Jain Pustaka Bhandâr for furnishing us with the manuscripts, and also to Shri Kumudavijaya, a disciple of Pannyâs Shri Manivijaya Gani for preparing the manuscript for the press, and correcting the proofsheets.
