Should we not ignore the relative point of view which does not agree with the reality given by the real point of view? Answer: The answer of this question has been provided by Ācārya Kundakunda in stanzas 8 to 12. जह ण वि सक्कमणज्जो अणज्जभासं विणा दु गाहेहूँ। तह ववहारेण विणा परमत्थुवदेसणमसक्कं॥8॥ Jaha ņā vi sakkamanajjo anajjabhasam viņā du gähedum. Tah vavaharena vinā paramatthuvadesanamasakkam. 11811 यथा नापि शक्योऽनार्योऽनार्यभाषां विना तु ग्राहयितुम्। तथा व्यवहारेण विना परमार्थोपदेशनमशक्यम्॥8॥ Just as it is not possible to explain to a non-Aryan person without using his non-Aryan language, in the same way, it is not possible to explain the reality (to a common person] without using the relative point of view (Vyavahāra Naya). [8] Annotation There is a difference between the message and the language used to communicate the message. The main task is to convey the message. It requires an appropriate language. One cannot communicate the real contents of a message to a person without using the language understood by him. Therefore, in order to convey the message of the real point of view to a common person it becomes necessary to use the language of the relative point of view which he can understand. The real point of view contains the reality but we need the relative point of view as a means to explain it to a common person. In this sense the relative point of view is important. It is not easy to explain the soul to a beginner. To a beginner, its description based on the real point of view would go over the top of his head. Before coming to such a stage, many other stages of teachings are essential. To a kid, first the difference between a living and non-living based on the body and senses is explained.
