(श्रावक धर्म विधि प्रकरण )
is said to be an accomplished shravak because he soon destroys the intense karmas including the knowledge obscuring one (jnanavaraniya karma).
अहिगारिणा ख धम्मो, कायव्वो अणहिगारिणो दोसो। आणाभंगाओ च्चिय, धम्मो आणाएँ पडिबद्धो ||३||
३. धर्म जिन - आज्ञा मूलक है, अत: योग्य व्यक्ति को ही श्रावकधर्मपालन करने का अधिकार है। यदिअनधिकारी व्यक्ति श्रावक धर्म के पालन करने का प्रयास करता है, तो जिन - आज्ञा केभंग करने के दोष के कारण वहधर्मभी अधर्मरूप बन जाता है।
___3. Religion is derived from the tenets of the Jina. Only an able (sincere pursuer of emancipation) person qualifies to follow the code of conduct. If a pseudo follower tries, his conduct is faulty and irreligious because it goes against the word of the Jina. तत्थहिगारी अत्थी, समत्थओ जो ण सुत्तपडिकुट्टो । अत्थी उ जो विणिओ, समुवठिओ पुच्छमाणो य ॥४॥
४. जो श्रावक धर्म का अधिकार होने की आकांक्षा रखता है, जो सूत्र (आगम) में निषिद्व आचार का समर्थक नहीं है और जो धर्माचारी के समक्ष उपस्थित होकर धर्म के परिपालन की इच्छा रखता है तथा जो धर्म मार्ग का जिज्ञासु है,वही श्रावक धर्म का अधिकारी है।
4. Only that shravak is deserving of this conduct who refrains from accepting anything against the Agams (tenets of the Tirthankar); who has the inclination to observe the code of conduct under the guidance of a able follower of religion; and who humbly and sincerely pursues his quest for the true path.
