वंदणपूयणसझरणाइ सव्वं न कप्पए काउं । लोगुत्तमलिंगीण वि, केसिंचेवं जओ भणियं ॥ २० ॥
२०. जैसा आगमों में कहा गया है लोकोत्तम लिंगधारक अर्थात् जैन मुनि वेशधारकपार्श्वस्थ आदि का भी वंदन, पूजनसत्कार आदि सभी करना योग्य नहीं है।
20. As is mentioned in Agams, it is not proper to indulge in devotional activities including paying homage to, or worshipping, or offering reverence to, even those dressed as Jain ascetics but having lax conduct and other shortcomings. पासत्थोसण्ण - कुसीलणीय - संसत्तजण - महाछंदं । नाऊण तं सुविहिया, सव्वपयत्तेण वजंति ॥ २१ ॥
२१. पार्श्वस्थजन (शिथिलाचारी), अवसन्नजन (खिन्न मन से आचारपालन करने वाले), कुशीलजन (आचारहीन), सदैव एक स्थान पर रहने वाला मठाधीश, संसक्तजन (विद्या अर्थात् मन्त्र-तन्त्र आदि द्वारा जन सम्पर्क बढाने वाला), यथाच्छन्द (उत्सूत्राचारी) के स्वरूपको जानकर सुविहितों (विधिज्ञ श्रावकों) को इनका सर्व प्रकार से त्याग करना चाहिए।
21. The Suvihits, i.e. those who have authentic knowledge of code of conduct and who also properly follow it, should know all about and completely reject all those who are lax in conduct; or are reluctantly following the codes of conduct; or are yathachhand, i.e. those who interpret and follow the code in their own way and not in accordance with the canon; or are not itinerant; or are influencing others by their accomplishments, and are going against the codes.
