या दूसरों को प्रयोग हेतु देना और ५. उपभोग एवं परिभोग की वस्तुओं का अधिक संग्रह करना । गृहस्थ-उपासक इन (पाँचों) का परित्याग करे ।
94. There are five transgressions of this rule : 1. use of erotic language, 2. lascivious and perverse gestures as done by clowns or eunuchs, 3. arrogant and irrelevant speech, 4. collecting weapons and giving those to others for use, 5. and hoarding of consumables and other things. One should avoid these five.
सिक्खावयं तु एत्थं, सावज्जेयर
सामाइय मो तयं तु विष्णेयं । वज्जणासेवणारूवं ॥९५॥

९५. यहाँ (श्रावक धर्म में) परम पद को प्राप्त कराने वाले. व्रतों में प्रधान व्रत शिक्षा व्रत कहलाते हैं। इनमें राग-द्वेष से रहित समभाव की प्राप्ति रूप प्रथम शिक्षा व्रत सामायिक कहलाता है । यह हिंसाजनित एवं दूसरे पाप कर्म - व्यापारों का त्याग कारक है और स्वाध्याय आदि अनुष्ठानों का परिपालन कराने वाला है ।
95. Here, in the codes for shravaks, the important vows that help attaining the loftiest status (moksha or the state of liberation) are known as the shiksha vrats. The first of these is called samayik or equanimity, which is the state of mind free of any attachment and aversion. This helps in avoiding intentional sinful activities and indulging in religious activities including selfstudy and other essential duties.
मणवयणकायदुप्पणिहाणं इह जओ विवज्जेइ । सइअकरणयं अणवद्वियस्स तह अकरणयं चैव ॥९६॥
९६. इस सामायिक व्रत में १ - ३. मन, वचन एवं काया के द्वारा दुष्प्रवृत्तियों का प्रयत्नपूर्वक परित्याग करे और सामायिक के विषय में ४. प्रमाद, ५. विस्मृति और असावधानी न रखे ।
