________________ mention of its author's name. It seems identical with the areas mentioned in Nos. 1029 and 1030 in the Catalogue of Sanskrit Manuscripts in the India Office. It is undoubtedly distinct from the starafasistit composed by Gadasimha in 88 verses. But many of its verses are identical with those in the sa19af945 ft composed by Mahākṣapaņaka of Kashmir ( generally ascribed to the 12th cent.), which contains 320 verses. It is, however, very difficult to ascertain relation between the शब्दरत्नप्रदीप and the anonymous अनेकार्थध्वनिमंजरी as well as that between the anonymous अनेकार्थध्वनिमञ्जरी and the अनेकार्थध्वनिमञ्जरी by Mahāksapanaka. At the end I acknowledge sincere thanks to Muni Jinavijayaji and Prof. R. C. Parikh, who have given me guidance for this work. I also thank the Hon. Secretary of Gujarat Vidya Sabha for supplying the necessary material for editing this work. I should also acknowledge hearty thanks to my colleague Prof. K. K. Shastree who prepared the copy of the Jesalmer manuscripts as well as suggested some corrections in it. Ahmedabad Date 20-2-'53) HARIPRASAD SHASTRI
