________________ Preface The work in hand is the English translation of "Dasha Bhakti" written by Achārya shri Pujyapāda alias Devnaņdi in Sanskrit. The prākrita portion of these eulogies is the work of Āchārya shri Kundkunda. The list of twelve eulogies which have been translated are 1. Iryāpatha Bhakti (Eulogy of walking). 2. Siddha Bhakti (Eulogy of the bodyless pure & perfect soul) 3. Chetya Bhakti (Eulogy of shrines) 4. Shruta Bhakti (Eulogy of scriptures) 5. Chāritra Bhakti (Eulogy of right conduct) 6. Yogi Bhakti (Eulogy of ascetics) 7. Achārya Bhakti (Eulogy of heads of order of saints) 8. Paņcha Guru Bhakti (Eulogy of five supreme beings) 9. Shāņti Bhakti (Eulogy of Lord Shāntinath) 10. Samādhi Bhakti (Eulogy of union with self) 11. Nirvān Bhakti (Eulogy of salvation). 12. Naņdiswara Bhakti (Eulogy of Naņdiswara Island) Of these twelve Eulogy "Samādhi Bhakti" (Eulogy of union with self) and Panch Mahāguru Bhakti" (Eulogy of Five Supreme Beings) are not included in Dasha-Bhaktis (ten eulogies) of Āchārya shri Pujyapāda. The work in hand is based upon "Vimal-Bhakti" (Vimal Jnāna Prabodhini Tikā) by pujya Āryikā shri Syādavādamati Mātāji. Digambar Munis and Aaryikās must necessarily practice six essentials (Shata-Avashyaka) everyday. Of these six essential duties, one is that of pratikraman (expiation). Each and every Saint and Aaryikā has got to pointedly and specifically tell to his/her preceptor about the faults which he/she may have committed throughout the day and not only repent for them but also request punishment to be given therefore. His/her Achārya listening the faults so commited by the disciple concerned, suggest remedial measures therefore which the disciple is bound to translate into action. Pratikramana (expiation) is the process of the purification of soul by means of negation of the effects of faults so
