In this connection it may be mentioned that as suggested by Prof. Schubring, Kavayaddāra is a part and parcel of Ārāhanāpaļāyā (dāra 30, from v. 25). Thus there remain 17 works for which the designation Paünniga should be justified. Out of these works (3), (4), (7), (8), (14) and (17) are referred to as Painnagas in their corresponding Mss.), whereas the rest in Jaina Granthāvalī (pp. 62-68). As a passing reference it may be noted that 13 Païnnagas are mentioned in the following verses of Siddhāntāgamastava-a fact noted in its vivrti by a pupil of Viśālarāja“: “77€ FTUARIÉ griega ''-'ssget'aqqı संस्तार-चन्द्रवेध्यक-भक्तपरिज्ञा-चतुःशरणम् ॥ ३२ ॥ वीरस्तव-देवेन्द्रस्तव-गच्छाचारमपि च गणिविद्याम् । nougfå tuggaaifoi a ga: 11 ??!!! Authorship-Most of Païnnagas are anonymous, but some of them viz., Caisarana, Āurapaccrokkhānas and Bhattaparinnā are attributed to Virabhadra.
