________________ WWW Whereas the whole of our noble thought and attention is directed to attend to the wishes, and seek the pleasure of subjects; and the sole aim of our mind which wishes well of Jl all is to secure love and affection of the people and the li who are the noblest trust (committed to our charge) of IN the Lord the great bestower of bounties, and where as our mind is especially occupied in searching for the men of pure hearts and those that are devotional, therefore whepever tidings of a person passing his valuable time solely in the remembrance of God comes to our ear from any quarter of the territories subject to our dominion, we become extremely desirous of ascertaining his virtues and intrinsic merits, without any regard to his religioun, faith or creed and by laudable means and honorable manner we bring him from afar, admit him in to our presence and enjoy the pleasure of his company. As many a time the accounts of the Godliness and austere devotion of Heer bijoy Soor, an Acharj (preceptor) of the Jain Sitambury religioun and those of his disciples and followers who live at the ports of Gujarat. had come to our noble ear, we sent for and called him. After the interview which made us very glad, was over he intended to take leave in order to return to his original and native country. He therefore requested that by way of extreme kindness and favour a royal mendate which is obeyed by all the world, be issued to the effect that the heaven reaching mountains of Sidhachalji, Girnarji, Tarungaji, Kesarianathji and Abooji, situated in the country of Gujarat and all the five mountains of Rajgiriji, and the mountain of Samed shikherji allas Parashnathaji, situated in the Country of Bengal, and all the Icotees and all temples below the mountains and all the I places of worship and Pilgrimage of the Jains Situmbary Religioun throughout our Empire wherever they may be, be Yin his possession, and that no one can slaughter an animal on those mountains in the temples or below or above them.
