अपुच्छिओ न भासेज्जा भासमाणस्स अंतरा । पिट्ठिमंसं न खाएज्जा मायामोसं विवज्जए ॥
A wise man should not speak without being asked; he should not interrupt while his seniors are talking; he should not indulge in back-biting others and he should never tell a lie or hide something.
साघक बिना पूछे न बोले, गुरुजन बोलते हों तब बीच में न बोले, चुगली न खाए और कपटयुक्त असत्य बचन का त्याग करे ।
સાધકે વગર પૂરે બોલવું નહિ, ગુરુજનો વાતચીત કરતા હોય તો વચ્ચે બોલવું નહિ, પીઠ પાછળ કોઈની નિંદા કરવી નહિ અને કપટયુક્ત અસત્ય વાણીનો ત્યાગ पुरखो.
