वयगुत्तयाए णं भंते । जीवे किं जणयइ ? वयगुत्तयाए णं निम्विकारत्तं जणयइ । निव्विकारे णं जीवे वइगुत्ते अज्झप्पजोगसाहणजुत्ते यावि भवइ ॥
O Bhagavan ! What does the soul achieve by controlling the speech ?
By controlling the speech the soul achieves mental steadiness and having achieved mental steadiness, the soul with controlled speech becomes qualified for self-realisation.
भन्ते ! वचन–गुप्ति से जीव क्या प्राप्त करता है ?
वचन-गुप्ति से जीव निर्विकार भाव प्राप्त करता है । निर्विकार वचनगुप्त जीव अध्यात्म योग के साधन से युक्त हो जाता है।
હે ભગવાન ! વચનગુપ્તિથી જીવ શું પામે છે ? વચનગુપ્તિથી જીવ નિર્વિકારપણું પામે છે. નિર્વિકારપણાથી વચનગુપ્ત જીવ અધ્યાત્મયોગના સાધનથી યુક્ત થાય છે.
