PRAKĀRĀNTARA Matrkanighantu
Śrī Bhairava said O Devī ! Kindly tell me the Nighantu Mātrkā, knowledge of which gives rise to the knowledge of every name. As you know, kindly tell me the same Nighanțu.
Śrī Bhairavī saidYou are Blessed, O Mahābāhu, Benefactor of the Lokas ! this Nighantu Mātņkā is very difficult and secret.
2 O Maheśvara ! those who do not possess the knowledge of the Mātļkākşaras obtained from the tradition of the Gurus and existing in the internal and external consciousness, are fools and they do not get any fruit.
Mantroddhāra-prasanga, Pūjākhanda, Gurukrama, Mālinīsakti-samkcta, Vāma.dakşiņa-siddhānta, Gāruda and Bhūta Tantras, Bhairava Sārasamgraha, and Nirghanțu-all these have been declared by me in their hundred million elaboration.
4-5 Śrī Bhairava saidI am a person of a free nature away from feelings of truth. Full of the failings of contempt and reprehensible nature, know not much about the Matskās. I know a little of other Mantras but do not possess a knowledge of the Māıskā Mantras. I am at every step devoid of Gotra, Kula and Guru. 6-7
Śrī Bhairavi saidOut of love for you I now describe the Nighanțu Mātņkā, which please listen. First of all listen to the method of the derivation of Pranava which is the Primal Mantra,
8 Aum-kāra, Vartula, Tāra, Vindusakti. Tritattvaka, Pranava, Candra Ādya, Pancadeva, Dhruva and Trika are denoted by Aum.
