According to Kādimata the order of letter-names, classified under the Five Elements, are as follows:
Vāta, Marut, Cara, Prāna, Vāyu, Nāda, Raya, Javī, Vyā. pta and Sparsa are the names of the Vāyu ( Air ) class of letters.
Agni, Vahni, suci, Teja, Prabhā, Dāva, śikhī, Dyuti, Dāha and Grāsa, belong to the Agni (Fire) class of letters. 57
