________________ १४६ Pārsvastava by anonymous Agaracanda Nahta refers this hymn, containing two meanings. Pārsvastavana of Jinaprabhasüri, (2) Single verse compositions: Astottaraśatārthigāthā by Bappabhattisūri (9th cent. AD) composed a Prakrit gāthā and wrote its auto-commentary interpreting it in 108 different contexts. (Tattīsialimenlävā), Śatārthakāvya, composed in 1177 AD by Somaprabhācārya, a contemporary of Varddhamānasāgaragani, in a single Sanskrit verse, it is interpreted in 100 ways. Because of this composition he was conferred the epithet Satārthika. The poet himself commented on it. At the eginning of its commentary, in five verses, he presented an index to the hundred explanations intended by him. Then, he listed the meanings of the 24 Tirthankaras of Jaina religion, the explanations of Vedic deities, like Brahma, Hara, etc. and brought references to his contemporaries like Vādidevasūri, Hemacandrasūri etc., the four successive Caulukya kings of Gujarat, viz. Jayasimhadeva, Kumārapāla, Ajayadeva and Mūlarāja, poet Siddhapāla, the best citizen of the time and Anitadeva and Vijayasimha his two preceptors. At the extreme end, he elucidated references to himself and in the conclusion he quoted a short prasasti in five verses written on himself by some disciple of his. Pub. text ed. Satārthi a single verse, containing 100 meanings, was composed by Jinamņikyasūri in 1482 AD. satárthia composition by an anonymous, containing 100 interpretations, is also referred to in Jinaratnakosa. Satārthi by Mānasāgarasūri, the pupil of Buddhisāgarasűri, the contemporary of Hiravijayasūri of Tapāgaccha, composed single verse, containing 100 contexts.
