51 distinctions such as Brāhmana, Kashatriya, etc , since these distinctions rest on the birth of the body It is not only distinct from the characteristics of the exteinal world, it also remains distinct from the various inner psychic qualities which are produced by its association with achetana material environment Neither the characteristics of the material world nor the indirect effect of the same can rightly be associated with the Pure Self
जीवस्स णत्थि वण्णो णवि गधो णवि रसो णवि य फासो ।
णवि रूव ण सरीर णवि सठाण ण सहणण ॥५०॥ Jivassa nathi vanno navi gandho navi raso navi ya phāso Navi rāvam na. sariram navi samthānam na. samhanannam (50)
जीवस्य नास्ति वर्णो नापि गन्धो नापि रसो नापि च स्पर्श ।
नापि रूप न शरीर नापि सस्थान न सहननम् ॥५०॥ 50 In the (pure) soul there is no colour, no smell, no taste, no touch, no visible form, no body, no bodily shape, and no skeletal structure
जीवस्स णत्थि रागो णघि दोसो णेव विज्जदे मोहो ।
णो पच्चया ण कम्म णोकम्म चावि से णत्थि ॥५१॥ Jīvassa nathi rāgo navi doso neva vijjade moho No pachchayā na kammam nokammam chāvi se natthi (51)
जीवस्य नास्ति रागो नापि द्वेषो नैव विद्यते मोह ।
नो प्रत्यय न कर्म नोकर्म चापि तस्य नास्ति ॥५१॥ SI In the (pure) soul there is neither desire nor aversion No delusion is found therein There is no karmic condition, nor karmic matter, nor non-karmic matter in it
जीवस्स णत्थि वग्गो ण वग्गणा व फड्ढया केई ।
णो अज्झप्पट्ठाणा णेव य अणुभायठाणा वा ॥५२॥ Jīvassa natthi vaggo na vagganā neya phaddhayā kei No ajjappatthāna neva ya anubhāyathanā vā
(52) जीवस्य नास्ति वर्गो न वर्गणा नैव स्पर्द्धकानि कानिचित् ।
