________________ 174 SAMAYSARA Next moksha marga, path of salvation is described from the vyavahāra and mischaya points of view, the former to be rejected and the latter to be adopted आयारादीणाण जीवादीदसण च विष्णेय । 'छज्जीवणिकाय च तहा भणइ चरित तु बवहारो ॥ २७६ ॥ | Ayarādinānam jivädidamsanam cha vinneyam Chhajjīvānıkayamcha taha bhanayi charittam tu vavahāro (276) आचारादिज्ञान जीवादिदर्शन च विज्ञेयम् । षट् जीवनिकाय च तदा भणति चरित्र तु व्यवहार ॥ २७६ ॥ 276 Let it be known that (knowledge of the scriptures such as) Acharanga is right knowledge (Faith in the categories of) jiva etc, is right faith (Protection of) the six kinds of organisms is right conduct These, it is said, constitute vyavahara (mokshamarga) the path of salvation from the practical point of view) आदा खु मज्झ णाण आदा मे दसण चरित्त च । आदा पच्चक्खाण आदा मे सवरो जोगो ॥ २७७॥ Ada khu majjhananam ādā me damsane charitte ya Adā pachchakkhanam ādā me samvaro jogo (277) आत्मा खलु मम ज्ञानमात्मा मे दर्शन चरित्र च । आत्मा प्रत्याख्यान आत्मा मे सवरो योग ॥ २७७ ॥ 277 Whereas the Self is my night knowledge, the Self is my night farth, the Self again is my night conduct The Self is renunciation, the Self is the stoppage of karmas and yogic meditation (These constitute the mischaya moksha marga, or Path of Salvation from the real point of view) Emotional states such as attachment are the cause of bondage They are alien to the nature of the pure Self Then how do they occur in the consciousness of the Self? Do they result from direct manifestation of the Self or are they caused by alien influences? This question is answered in the succeeding gāthās जह फलियमणी सुद्धो ण सय परिणमइ रायमाईंहि । रगिज्जदि अण्णेहि दु सो रत्तादीहि दव्वेहि ॥ २७८ ॥ 'छज्जीवाण च नहा ।
