________________ CHICI-ATHİAT :: 469 As the artist rotates the potter's wheel, Mute-mud, reveals to him some reflections on time: Time itself is not the wheel./It is the rotator of the wordly wheel. "Fate Fai 79 TEM/THR-27 974 EIT TE I” (q. 888) Thus we see there is all movement bhramana in the circumference, while the centre delights rotating in itself; though there may be delusion on the circumference, there is illumination at the centre. Acharya Vidyasagar takes up the riddle of mathematical digit '9'. To an artist, Mathematics is also music of numbers. He tells us that 9 is the source of all life while 99 is worldly cycle of delusions. It is '9' that inspires, revolves towards-self realisation'Atmatatva-Udbodhini'. In this context he also discusses subtle importance of seminal letters fat (Hi)-denies all others and ‘st' (Bhi)-accepts all others as elaborated in Jain Tantra. 'Hi' represents one-sidedness Ekantavad, 'Bhi' is multidimentional Anekantavad. 'Hi' represents Western civilisation 'Bhi' is Indian culture, controling our destiny. “at yahiar at HH4 / top 10, PIGRE AT M11 ...cat #-HPM /*itaratu walà, apa-aaral ," (q.pop-893) Anekantvad and Syadavad are the Interesting attitude of Jainism which in its practical application makes man shun the false pride; "My opinion alone is true". "My Opinion also is true, "it indicates a spirit of tolerance which tells us that from a different stand point others may be equally true or perhaps better. This is beautifully expressed in the canons of Jain philosophy. Acharya further ascends on the path of self-realisation Kevaljnana-Omniscience and analyses the mind where in the sport of good and evil, is ever enacting its relentness drama. He says: Passions reside/Neither in body nor in dress, But/In the mind deluded by Maya (Illusion). “वासना का वास वह/न तन में है, न वसन में RH/HPT Thin I” (q. 860) The third Canto has been named as one that emphasises 'Acquiring of virtues and ablution of sins'– (gou FT YAT: 919-9ac 1). Right at the outset Acharya tells us :
