of Delhi. Another manuscript called RAJA VANSA VARNAN preserved in the Bada Jain Mandir Granth Bhandar of Jaipur, gives a more detailed discription of the rulers of Delhi.
Some manuscripts preserved in these Granth Bhandars throw interesting light not only on the rulers of Delhi but also provide valuable information about local history. Thus NEMINATH CHARITRA by Ajay Raja Patni (1735 A, D.) preserved in the Amber Sastra
Bhandar gives a vivid description of Amber. Another manuscript : BHAVISYA DATTA CHARITRA by Brahma Raimal (1576 A.D.)
preserved in the Bada Jain Temple Granth Bhandar, portrays the life in the city of Sanganer as follows :
देस ढूंढाहड सोभा घणी, पूजे तहाँ अलि मण तगी। निर्मल तले नदी बहु फिरे, सुख से बस बहु सांगानेरि । चहुं दिशि बणया भला बाजार, भरे पटोला मोती द्वार । भवन उतुग जिनेश्वर तणा, सौभे चंदवा तोरण घणा । राजा राजे भगवंतदास, राजकंवर सेवहिं बहु तास । परजा लोग सुख सुख बस, दुखी दलिद्री पुखै आस ।
A later manuscript, SUKUMAL CHARITRA by Nathu Mal (1918 V.S.) 1861 A.D. gives a description of the Jaipur city.
The catalogue lists a number of biographical account dealing with the life stories of Lord Krishna, Rama, Parshvanath, Mahavir, Gautama, Jambu, Bhadrabhahu, Sthulbhadra, Karakandu, Srenika, Abhaya kumara, Jivandhara, Sudarsanu Seth, Kalaksuri, Kundkund, Pujyapada, Jinsena, Haribhadra, Gunabhadra, etc. Some religious works like TILOYAPANNATI, JAMBUDWIPA, DHAWALA, JAIDHAWALA, HARIVAMSA PADAM and ADI PURANA, KALPA. SUTRA, the CHURNIS of the AVASYAKA and the NANDI SUTRA, DARSAN SARA, SRUTAVATARA, MERUTUNGA'S STHIRVIRAL VALI, etc, containing an account of pointifical succession after Mahavir, history of JAIN SANGHAS and its various schisms have also been catalogued in the present volume.
