________________ Nirvana is the result brought about by the practice of self-absorption, which is the combination of Real Right belief, Real Right Knowledge and Real Right Conduct. In the condition of Nirvāna the soul retains its own pure and real thought-activities only, and enjoys its own natural and eternal bliss. I cannot conclude this introduction without first expressing my deep sense of gratitude to the late Mr. J. L. Jaini, whose erudite and learned commentaries on Tattwārthā Dhigama Sutra and Gommatsåra have been freely utilized and referred to, as occasion demanded. ROHTAK: The 5th November 1928. UGGAR SAIN.
