(The defects are) hunger, thirst, fear, anger, attach. ment, delusion, anxiety, old age, disease, death, perspiration, fatigue, pride, indulgence, surprise, sleep, birth, and restlessness. हिस्सेसदोसरहिओ केवलणाणाइपरमविभवजुदो। सो परमप्पा उच्चइ तविवरीओ ण परमप्पा ॥७॥ निःशेषदोषरहितः केवलज्ञानादिपरमविभवयुतः । स परमात्मोच्यते तद्विपरीतो न परमात्मा ॥ ७ ॥ my. One free from all defects and possessed of sublime grandeur such as Omniscience is called Parmátmá (the Highest Soul) or the Perfect One. One who is not such, (is) not Parmatma. तस्स मुहग्गदवयणं पुवावरदोसविरहियं सुद्धं । आगममिदि परिकहियं तेण दु कहियाहवंति तच्चत्था॥ ८॥ तस्य मुखोद्तवचनं पूर्वापरदोषविरहितं शुद्धम् । श्रागममिति परिकथितं तेन तु कथिता भवन्ति तत्त्वार्थाः ॥८॥ 8. Words proceeding from his mouth, pure and free from the flaw of inconsistency are called Agama (scripture.) In that Agama the principles (Tattvārtha) are enunciated. जीवा पोग्गलकाया धम्माधम्मा य काल आया । तच्चत्था इदि भणिदा णामागुणपजएहिं संजुत्ता ॥६॥ जीवाः पुद्गलकायाः धर्माधौं च काल अाकाशं । तत्त्वार्था इति भणिताः नानागुणपर्यायैः संयुक्ताः ॥ ६ ॥ 9. Soul, Matter, medium of motion, medium of rest, space, (substances) having dimensions, and Time, together with their various attributes and modifications are said to be the principles (Tattvārtha). Commentary. Out of the above six realities or substances, called Tattvártha, the first five occupy more than one unit of space.
