In the Digambara tradition15 also three Prakrit titles are available. They are Suddayaḍam, Sudayaḍam, Sudayadam. The first member of these titles is either 'sudda' or 'suda'. 'Sudda' is a Prakrit form of the Sanskrit word 'sutra', whereas 'suda' is a Prakrit form of the Sanskrit word 'sutra' or 'suta'. The second member of these titles is either 'yaḍa' or 'yada'. 'Yada' and 'yada' are the two Prakrit forms of the Sanskrit word 'kṛta'. It is to be noted that in the Digambara Sanskrit works like Sarvarthasiddhi, Rajavārtika (= the commentaries on the Tattvärthasutra) etc., the only Sanskrit title available is 'Sūtrakṛta'.

Language: The direct principal disciples of Lord Mahavira wrote down all the eleven Anga works in Ardhamāgadhi language. So the language of the text of the Sutrakṛtānga is Ardhamāgadhī. It is a fact that with the passage of time linguistic changes crept in the Agama works written in Ardhamägadhi language. But the modern historians opine that the language of the Acaranga and the Sutrakṛtänga, as we find it today, represents the most ancient form of Ardhamāgadhi.
The frequent use of 'q'syllable in place of 'a' is easily discernible in the very late manuscripts of the Sutrakṛtänga. But following the ancient manuscripts we have accepted in the body of the text the ancient usages.
Parts: The Sutrakṛtänga has two main parts. They are called 'Srutaskandha'. The first śrutaskandha contains sixteen adhyayanas (chapters), beginning with the Samaya-adhyayana and ending with the Gatha-adhyayana. The Gatha-adhyayana being sixteenth, the first śrutaskandha is also known by the name 'Gahasolasaga' (Gāthāsoḍaśaka).16 The second śrutaskandha contains seven adhyayanas beginning with Pundarika-adhyayana and ending with Nālandiyaadhyayana. Refer to pages 118, 119, 121 fn. 1.
As these seven adhyayanas are lengthy (mahanti) they are called mahajjhayana.' Thus the Sutrakṛtānga has in all twenty-three adhyayanas. Their Sanskrit and Prakrit titles are as follows17:
