दुर्लभम् ।
It may be easy to obtain heavenly fortune or a kingdom extending over whole world (lit: under one umbrella) but it is not so easy in this world to receive the (teachings of the) religion propagated by the great Jinas.
तप्पंति तवमणेगे जवंति मंते तहा सुविजाओ। वियरंति दसणं पुण देवा धन्नाण विरलाणं ॥ ५३॥
तप्यन्ते तपोऽनेके जपन्ति मन्त्रांस्तथा सुविद्याः । वितरन्ति दर्शनं पुनर्देवा धन्यानां विरलानाम् ॥ ५३॥
There are many indeed who practise austerities, mutter charms, acquire sound learning, it is however only the blessed few, who are favoured with a sight of the gods.
