It is unfortunate that the personal views of Vardhamāna are not available in the form of a separate treatise, but these can be easily gleaned from the numerous commentaries of which he was the author. · It is hoped that students of Indian philosophy, especially those of the Vaisoșika System, will find the work highly useful and serviceable in the interpretation of many a knotty passage of Udayana's text.
