बजरवाच । बनोस्व समुत्पत्तावारबबुमहागुतेः। कालस्व गतिमिच्छामि श्रोतुं भृगुकुलोबह ॥१॥ मार्कण्डेवरवाचावेनाहोरावमानेन बानोस्व जगत्पतेः। समा[] गतं राजन्पस मासास्तथैव च ॥२॥ महोरामचतुष्कं च वर्तमानदिनाङ्गतम् । मतः परं प्रवश्वामि तन्मे निगरवः पृथु ॥३॥ भवका बढ़ताःसा संधवच तथा गताः। सविषयवीताच तथैव च चतुर्युगाः॥४॥ जुगनवं यावीतं वर्तमानचतुर्भागात् । संबल्सराणां चकं क्या कलियुगाजतम् ॥५॥ पासावित्रा चमेधकालेस्मिन्सह पोष वाव । मविचापामतीतानां प्रज्ञापां भूरिदक्षिण॥६॥ अगाविमस्वात्कालस्व संख्या वतुं न शक्यते। बगावाःसिकवा धारा बथा वर्षति वासवः॥॥ चम्या मनवि राजाम्बवीताः पितामहाः। मन्तवा बुधा बुद्धा सर्वस्व जगतीपतेः॥6
