________________ अष्टकप्रकरणम् the righteous preachings, the cessation of miserable karmas and due to the auspicious disposition of mind. ahimsaiṣā matā mukhyā svargamokṣaprasādhanī. etatsaṁrakṣaṇārthaṁ ca nyāyyaṁ satyādipālanaṁ. As means of heaven and emancipation, this (vow of) non-violence is vital and for strengthening this vow, observing the truth etc. vows, is proper. smaraṇapratyabhijñāna dehasaṁsparśavedanāt. asya nityādisiddhiśca tathā lokaprasiddhitaḥ. 67 The eternal cum-changing etc. nature of it (soul) is established by memory, retention, tangibility, as well as by tradition. dehamătre ca satyasmin syātsankocādidharmiņi. dharmäderurdhvagatyādi yathārthaṁ sarvameva tat. In soul these non-violence virtually occur, soaring upward due to virtues ( and pulling downward due to vices) etc. adapting shape of the body, possessing nature of contraction etc. Jain Education International vicāryametat sadbuddhyā madhyasthenāntarātmanā. pratipattvyameveti na khalvanyaḥ satāṁ nayaḥ.
