________________ INTRODUCTION XX* The ending portion is noted on this same page as below: “गोसभणिओ य ति(वि)ही इय अणवरयं तु चिट्ठनाणस्स । भवविरहबीयभूओ जायइ चारित्तपरिणामो ॥ १२० ॥ दर्शनसप्ततिकाप्रकरणं समाप्त !" As suggested in the opening verse, this Pāïya work explains in verse the religion to be practised by the Jaina laity. This work is different from Darsanasuddhi (No. 23), though, this, too, deals with right faith. (29) Dhammasangahani' This work is so named by Haribhadra himself in v. 3. It is composed in Pâïya in 1396 verses. It deals with various topics such as the definition of dharma and its niksepas? (connotations or aspects ), refutation of the Carvãkas, establishment of the existence of the souls and its characteristics, exposition of the eight kinds of karman, attainment of right faith, its varieties, distinguishing features, five kinds of knowledge, Pows of the clergy, establishment of omniscience and bliss in liberation. The bare text of Dhammasangahani along with those of Uvaësapaya, Uvaësamala, Kammapayadi, Jioasamāsa, Joisakarandaga, Pañcasargaha and Pañcāsaga is published in Rşabhadevaji Kosarimalaji Samsthä, Rutlam in 1928 A.D. This samsthā has also pablished an alphabetical index of this Dhammasangahagi and those of the following nine works in 1929 A, D.: Uvaëaapaya, Uvaësamāla, Kammapayadi.
