________________ Pravacanasara अपयत्ता वा चरिया सयणासणठाणचंकमादीसु । समणस्स सव्वकाले हिंसा सा संतत त्ति मदा 113-1611 अप्रयता वा चर्या शयनासनस्थानचङ्क्रमणादिषु । श्रमणस्य सर्वकाले हिंसा सा संततेति मता ॥13-16॥ सामान्यार्थ [वा ] अथवा [ श्रमणस्य ] मुनि के [ शयनासन - स्थानचङ्क्रमणादिषु ] सोने, बैठने, खड़े होने, चलने आदि अनेक क्रियाओं में जो [ अप्रयता ] यत्न रहित [ चर्या ] प्रवृत्ति होती है [ सा ] वह [ सर्वकाले ] हमेशा [ संतता ] अखण्डित [ हिंसा ] चैतन्य प्राणों का विनाश करने वाली हिंसा है [ इति ] इस प्रकार [ मता ] वीतराग सर्वज्ञदेव ने कही है। - Alternatively, the Lord has propounded that negligent activity of the ascetic (muni, śramana) while sleeping, sitting, standing, and walking is the cause of injury (himsa) to living beings, continuously, and at all times. 268 Explanatory Note: The breach of restraint is impure-cognition (aśuddhopayoga); for the ascetic (muni, śramana) pure-cognition (śuddhopayoga) is the right course. Impure-cognition (aśuddhopayoga) denigrates the status of the ascetic as it is the cause of injury (himsā) to the living beings. Impure-cognition (aśuddhopayoga) causes injury to the life-essential (prāṇa), i.e., purecognition (śuddhopayoga), of the soul. Thus, the major injury that impure-cognition (aśuddhopayoga) causes is to own soul through impairement of its natural knowledge (jñāna) and perception (darśana). Impure-cognition (aśuddhopayoga) exists when the ascetic performs his activities negligently, without proper diligence. Activities of the ascetic without proper diligence cause impairment to his twenty-eight primary attributes (mūlaguna). Diligence is natural to the ascetic; only when he is engaged in ..........
