ન્યુરોપથી
આ પ્રકરણમાં આપણે મગજ અને કરોડરજ્જુમાંથી નીકળી ચહેરા, ગરદન, હાથ, પગ તેમજ છાતી અને પેટ એમ જુદા જુદા સ્નાયુઓ સુધી સંદેશા લઈ જતી અને ચામડી તથા અન્ય સંવેદનશીલ અવયવો તથા અગત્યનાં અંગોમાંથી કરોડરજ્જુ તથા મગજ તરફ સંવેદના લાવતી નસોચેતાઓ (Nerves)ના રોગો વિશે વાત કરીશું. સંદેશા લઈ જતી નસોને મોટર ચેતાઓ કહેવામાં આવે છે, સંવેદના લાવતી નસોને સેન્સરી ચેતાઓ કહેવામાં આવે છે. કરોડરજ્જુમાંથી નીકળતા શરૂઆતના ભાગને રેડિકલ્સ કહે છે જે પણ મોટર અને સેન્સરી એમ બે પ્રકારના હોય છે. તેના રોગોને રેડિક્યુલોપથી કહે છે. જ્યારે ઉપર જણાવેલ નસોના રોગોને પેરીફેરલ ન્યુરૉપથી કહે છે.
