Similarly from the available data about the Tirtharkaras mentioned in the inscriptions, it may be inferred that the worship of Ādinātha was the most popular, the next to him being Sumatinātha, Sambhavanātha, śāntinātha, Kunthunātha, Pārsvanātha, Vāsupūjya, Sitalanātha, Candraprabha, Dharmanātha, Śreyānsanātha, Suvratasvāmi, Vimalanātha, Neminātha, Suvidhinātha, Padmaprabha, Ajitanātha, Mahāvīra, Abhinandananātha, Anantanātha, Supārsvanātha, Mallinātha and Aranātha, in a descending order. In addition to twentyfour Tirthankaras, we come across inscribed images of Ambikā (ins. nos. 10, 688 and 839) and Padmāvati (ins. no. 565) also. A survey of the inscriptions suggests that the highest number of images were installed by Laksmisāgarasūri. Other Sūris who installed the images were Šrisūri, Somasundarasūri, Jayakesarisūri, Jayacandrasuri, Jinacandrasûri, Udayasāgarasūri, Kakkasūri etc. The Ācāryas referred to in the inscriptions are kakudācārya, Kālakācārya, Kundakundācārya, Bhavadevācārya and Siddhācārya. (see App. II.) The highest number of inscriptions contains references to Tapā Gaccha. Other Gacchas referred to are Añcala, Āgama, Kharatara, Brahmāņa, Pippala-Pispala, Nāgendra, Hārija, BhāvaļāraBhāvadaharā, Vrddha tapā, Maladhāri, Saņdera, Pūrņimā, NāņakiyaJñānakiya, Nāņāvāla, Jirāpalliya, Caitra, Koranța etc. (see App. III.) The Śrāvakas who got the images made belonged to various castes like Prāgvāta, Srimāla, Ukeśa, Usavāla, Gurjara, Disāvāla, Hurbada etc. (see App. V.) The inscriptions contain references to various Gotras, such as Āyacaņā (ins. no. 307), Kāņā (nos. 96,97), Kādamīyā (no. 165) Khimaņavi (no. 340), Gādhika (no. 23), Päladecā (no. 111), Maghāla (no. 265), Medatavāla (no. 626), Vādhiyä (nos. 714-716), Sankhavāla (no. 541), Surāņā (nos. 359, 582) etc. The names of the donors appear in the inscriptions are Dhirapāla, Jesā, Nárada, Sārāka, Bhimaka, Sāladeva, Madana, Jhāñjhaka, Dharaniga, Dedaka, Sandaka, Gajana, Dharmasiiitha, Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org
