देवतामूर्ति-प्रकरणम्
ईशाने च गणेश: स्यात् कुमारश्चाग्निकोणके ॥ १६ ॥ कुण्डलाभ्यामलंकृता सर्वाभरणभूषिता। मध्ये देवी प्रतिष्ठाप्या चेश्वरस्य सदा प्रिया ॥१७॥
इति गौर्यायतनम्। . अब गौरी देवी के आयतन देवों का क्रम कहता हूँ
उत्तर में सिद्धि देवी, दक्षिण में श्रिया देवी, पश्चिम में सावित्री देवी, नैर्ऋत्य और वायव्य कोण में भगवती सरस्वती, ईशान कोण में गणेश और अग्नि कोण में कार्तिकेय स्थापन करना। मध्य में कुण्डलों से शोभायमान और सब आभूषणों से भूषित, महादेव को हमेशा प्रिय गौरी देवी स्थापन करना।
I shall now descibe the positions of the deities in a Gauri shrine one by one..
To the left (in the northern direction) is the place of Siddhi and to the right (in the southern direction) of Shriya. In the west is Savitri (15). At both corners to the rear of the main idol, place Bhagvati and Saraswati. In the north-eastern quarter is Ganesh and in the south-eastern quarter Kumar (i.e. Karttikeya). (16).
. In the centre, adorned with kundala earrings and necklaces and all manners of jewels and ornaments, is the place of the . Goddess, Devi, the beloved of Ishwar, whose shrine is described here. (17). .
Such should be the ayatans (temples) of Gauri. . गौरी देवी की प्रतीहारिका (द्वारपालिका) -
अभयांकुशपाशदण्डं जया चैव तु पूर्वत: । सव्यापसव्ययोगेन विजया नाम सा भवेत् ॥१८॥
अभय, अङ्कुश, पाश और दण्ड इन आयुधों को बाँयी ओर क्रम से धारण · करने वाली जया नाम की द्वारपालिका और दाहिने क्रम से धारण करने वाली विजया नाम की द्वारपालिका है। इनमें जया देवी को पूर्वद्वार की बाँयी ओर और विजया देवी को पूर्व द्वार की दाहिनी ओर स्थापना करना।
