Gentlemen,
I have the honour to inform you that thc chapter on "The Founder of Jainism” at pages 12--15 in the High Roads of Indian History, Book second, has been adversely criticised by several Jain Sabhas and found to contain passages objectionable to the Jains. It has, therefore, been decided that the passages objected to may be modified in the light of criticism made by Shri Atmanand Jain Sabha and that the revised chapter should be submitted to the. Text Book Committee for consideration before its incorporation in the next edition.
