कि प्राचार्य हेम चन्द्र ने इस अध्याय की रचना तीन उद्देश्यों--प्राकृत भाषा के स्वरूप, विकास और व्याकरण सम्बन्धी नियमों की व्याख्या के लिए की थी। प्रस्तुत टीका युगानुकूल होने के कारण मूलमन्थ से भी अधिक उपयोगी जान पड़ती है।
४६९ पृष्ठों को इस टीका में ... व्यवहृत शब्दों को तालिका अन्त में देकर इसे अधिक मूल्यवान बना दिया गया है। उत्तम कागज़, सुन्दर मुद्रण, आकर्षक मुख्य पृष्ठ आदि से इस ग्रन्य की महत्ता में चार चान्द लग गए हैं। आचार्य श्री वात्माराम जैन मॉडल स्कूल, २६-डी, कमला मगर, बिल्ली-७ ने इसे प्रकाशित किया है।
प्राकृत भाषा की उच्च कक्षा के छात्रों तथा शोधकर्तामों के लिए प्रस्तुत टीका अत्यन्त उपयोगी है। तुलनात्मक अध्ययनार्थी; भाषाविद्, इतिहासकार प्राधि भाभी इससे लाभ उठायेंगे । प्राकृत भाषा के छात्रों के लिए ग्रन्थ वरदान सिद्ध होगा। "२५ वी महावीर निर्याण शताब्दी" के उपलक्ष्य में ऐसी महान कृतियों का प्रकाशन हिन्दी साहित्य के इतिहास में सक्षिरों में अंकित होगा तथा सदा स्मरण किया जाएगा।

Our country has the distinguished honour of producing men of great
intelligence whose valuable writings have il fumined the thousands of persons, In course of time. In academic circles the name of Acharya Shri Hem Chanderji Maharaj is remembered with great respect for his unique composition 'Prakrit Vyakarn' in Prakrit language some 800-years back.
It is a matter of great pride and satisfaction that Shri Shri 1008 Shri Gian Muniji Maharaj after arduous labour for over 20 years has translated this book in Sanskrit and Hindi for the benefit of a large number of students. I am glade to know that the work is being
given the shape of a book shortly. I hope, this book will gain popularlty in the academic field and more and more scholars will derive benefit of it.
