This method of argumentation, no doubt, went a long way in the development of thought. For, all the questions so far left untouched and for whose explanation no need had so far arisen had, of necessity, to be taken up and treated at full length with a view to make the Jain system of thought strong and cogent. In this way, this later development of thought helped to fill in the gaps found in the pre-darśanic stage and to bring about a full-fledged development of all the main concepts of the Jain philosophy...
