About the Author
Late Dr. Indukala H. Jhaveri (19281983), a scholar, had conceived this work as her research project, which later earned her Ph.D. from Gujarat University. Apart from this thesis entitled, 'Sankhya-Yoga and Jain Parinamavada' her other publications include the edited Prakrit work 'Yogaśataka' of Haribhadra enriched by Gujarati translation, exposition and comprehensive introduction; the English translation of Pt. Sukhlalji's introduction (Hindi) to Pramanamimamsa and Gujarati translation of the second part of Outlines of Indian Philosophy by Prof. M. Hiriyanna. Dr. Ms. Jhaveri's sundry research papers were published in journals like Aryanpath, The Journal of Oriental Research Institute and Vidya.
Dr. Jhaveri began her teaching career at B. J. Institute of Learning and Research and later taught at Shri H. K. Arts College, Ahmedabad.
