' પગલું-૧૦ STEP-10 દરેક ભાષામાં ગુણ બતાવનારા શબ્દો હોય છે. તેને વિશેષણ કહેવાય છે. દા.ત. “સફેદ કમળ', અહીં “કમળ' એ વિશેષ્ય છે અને “સફેદ' એ વિશેષણ છે. આવા વિશેષણો પ્રાકૃત ભાષામાં અનેક છે.
In all languages, there are words which depict qualities - Those words are called adjectives. e.g. white lotus - Here white is an adjective of an object 'lotus'. There are many such adjectives in Prakrit.

-: Adjective words :ત્વિક (મસ્તિ) આસ્તિક. Theistic, one who | પરમ (૫૫) ઉત્કૃષ્ટ, વધારે. Best, Excellent, believes in god
More, and religion.
પાગ (પ્રવૃત્તિ) પ્રાકૃત. Ordinary, મહમ (ઘમ) અધમ. Mean.
pertaining to masses. ગદિર (મધ) ઘણું. Much.
રુસ (પુરુષ) કર્કશ. Harsh. વળ (સીઇ) દુર્બળ. Weak.
મળોન્ગ (મનોજ્ઞ) સુંદર. Beautiful. દુર્રમ) મુશ્કેલ. Difficult.
મહુર (મધુર)
Sweet. ન (ન) વસ્ત્રરહિત. Naked.
ફિગ (દિત) રહિત. Being without. નિર્ચ (નિત્ય) નિત્ય. Always.
रुग्ण (UT) રોગી. નિવર (નિશ૪) સ્થિર. still, stable.
वराय (રવિ) ગરીબ. Poor. નિહુર (નિg) નિર્દય. cruel.
सहल (૪૪) સફળ. successful. પવો () પાકેલું. Ripened.
સુવા (ગુજ્જ) ધોળું. White. સોળ (શોમન) સુંદર. Beautiful.

વિશેષણનાં રૂપો વિશેષ્યની માફક જ થાય છે. વિશેષણથી જેના ગુણનું વર્ણન કરવામાં આવે છે તેને વિશેષ્ય કહેવાય છે.
Forms of Adjectives change in the same way as Visheshya. The nouns or pronouns to which the adjectives are attributed are called Visheshya.
વીનો વા મળીબ્બો લેવો નિઘંટો સમજો સદો ભૂવો
-: પંલિંગ વિશેષણો :-: Masculine adjectives :(ક્ષીણઃ વાહ:) દુબળો બાળક. Weak child. (મનોજ્ઞઃ સેવ:) સુંદર દેવ. Attractive God or Deity. (નિરવ શ્રમન) સ્થિર સાધુ. still saadhu. (સરઃ ભૂઃ) સફળ રાજા. successful King.
