अभ्यस्य हि त्यागविधिं प्रवेशो
हितावहः स्यादनगार-धर्मे । इत्थं तृतीयाऽश्रम-संविधान
संन्याससम्पादनपूर्वभूमिः ॥ ५२ ॥
ત્યાગવિધિને અભ્યાસ કરીને અનગાર-ધર્મમાં પ્રવેશ કરે એ હિતાવહ પદ્ધતિ છે. આમ, ત્રીજા આશ્રમનું વિધાન એ સંન્યાસગ્રહણની પૂર્વભૂમિરૂપ છે.
