शृङ्गारार्णवचन्द्रिका 3. In Dhanaṁjaya's view if absence is due to death the love sentiment cannot be present44. Vijayavarņi advocates the view that Karuņātıaka-vipralambha can be present if one of the two, ( the lover and hisbeloved ) passes away and the other laments his or her death 45. Now, Vidyānātha #6 also speaks of four Sahāyas of the hero but his list has Сeta and no Nāgarika. Rudrata 4 7 and Dhanamjaya 4 8 speak of two types of Parakīyā or Anyasıri : Kanyakā and Anyodhā. Vijayavarņi mentions Parakīyā and Anūdha (= Kanyakā) separately and makes four types of heroines. Of course, he is fully aware of the views of Rudrața and Dhananjaya that Anūdhā ( = Kanyakā), too, is regarded as not one's own (Parakīyā) Finally, in setting forth the four kinds of Vipralambhasrngāra he has followed Rudrata 49.
